Our growing department has research expertise in a range of areas relating to chemical and materials engineering. Recent faculty hires have expanded our departmental expertise in areas such as high-performance computing, advanced manufacturing and renewable energy.
Our research-active department has funding from agencies including the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Undergraduate research opportunities are a key part of our curriculum, and graduate students work closely with faculty to develop independent research.
